Kia Ora and welcome to my teaching blog.

I have been teaching for a number of years in low and high decile schools in Auckland, New Zealand. My passion is in integrating digital technologies, mindfulness, student and staff well being and coaching.

Before I graduated with a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) at the University of Waikato in 2014, I was a hairstylist and salon owner and operator. Since then I have completed a Postgrauate Certificate in Applied Practice (Digital and Collaborative Learning) in 2017. Some of my smaller achievements include Google Educator Level 1 and Level 2.

I am a mother of two young children and have a very supportive partner. I have recently gone back to my full time teaching position in a year five and six classroom.

Outside of the classroom, I like to explore the outdoors with my kids and spend time with family and friends. I am attending night classes and learning how to sew, which is quickly becoming a new hobby.

In 2020, I was on maternity leave and started refreshing my own resources. They are currently available in the Miss Mattock Store on Teachers Pay Teachers.

Learners of Aotearoa is a digital bank of online tutorials and interactive games that are focused on learning goals that relate to the New Zealand Curriculum. A valuable tool for your students working at Level 2, 3 or 4.

If you have any comments, feedback or resource requests, I would love to connect with you.

Tēnā Koutou - Thank you
